Limerick Jazz Festival are delighted to present A Night of Scottish jazz
Scottish pianist Fergus McCreadie’s trio has underlined it’s status as one of the most exciting young groups in European jazz.
The trio’s music is dynamic and beautifully crafted, reflecting the Scottish landscape and musical traditions while honouring the American and European jazz legacies, and its huge emotional pull has brought audiences to their feet across Northern Europe and resulted in an appearance at Ronnie Scott’s International Piano Trio Festival.
At the helm of the new wave of UK jazz, Georgia Cécile has been receiving acclaim from audiences and critics on the strength of recent live and online performances during lockdown. Previous single ‘Blue Is Just A Colour’ premiered on BBC Radio 2’s Jamie Cullum show, following sell-out shows at UK jazz festivals including Edinburgh, Glasgow and London. Having picked up ‘Best Vocalist’ at the 2019 Scottish Jazz Awards, Cécile was also nominated for ‘Vocalist of the Year’ at the Jazz FM Awards 2020.
