Granny has been incarcerated, the fairytale has faltered & now something is gnashing at Joe. Selvage (a line of self-securing knitting), is a one man show about unravelling tightly wound modern anxieties and a boy’s triumph over his ‘gnaw’.
Following 2 sold out runs in Galway, Selvage now embarks on a national tour, inviting audiences into this creative examination of the countless avenues people trudge down in an effort to calm their niggling ‘gnaw’.
Selvage was initially developed through the Druid FUEL programme and funded by the Arts Council.
‘Whereas one-actor shows are often stripped back affairs, Riordan deployed a range of effects and elements in an always absorbing, frequently funny, and keenly touching piece.’ Galway Advertiser
